Dessert Table #1

I’m a big fan of dessert tables – give me a reason for a party and I’ll be the first person to jump up to create a table filled with desserts to fit the theme.

I think it makes the perfect addition to any party and I’m a sucker for taking something simple and transforming it to look pretty. Having a dessert table helps to give the room a focal point and keeps the guests waiting eagerly and on their toes till the table opens up!

Simple Cupcakes

Since we’ve had a pretty non-existent summer over here in the UK, the rainy days have kept me insideĀ forĀ far more than I would’ve liked. However, this involuntary confinement has had one positive – more baking sessions have been on the cards!

Last weekend, whilst it was pouring down, I thought I’d throw on my apron and revisit the recipe that fuelled my love of baking. These simple, minimum fuss cupcakes were the first ever cakes I made by myself. Fast forward a few years, and this is still the recipe I use whenever I bake.
