Apologies for being AWOL on here recently, I promise to show this blog more love over the next few months. I’ve got a few Christmas baking recipes I can’t wait to share so keep your eyes peeled!
One reason I’ve been MIA is because I was in America for a few weeks for work (wish I could say I was sitting by a pool sunbathing – sadly that was not the case). However, just because the reason behind this trip was business related, doesn’t mean it was all work and no play! There was no way I could leave without partaking in a little shopping trip…because you know what they (I) say, “when in America, shop!”.
Although I was left slightly disappointed with the fashion choices on offer, I did manage to pick up a few bits and pieces.
One store I was most excited about visiting was Target. For any American peeps reading this, you’re probably thinking WTH! But after hearing all about Target on the internet space, I couldn’t wait to check out all the crafty goodness they had to offer. Let’s just say I wasn’t left disappointed, they had everything you could ever want all in one store. From clothing, to makeup through to snacks and homeware, I could’ve easily spent 4 hours browsing…

I’m a sucker for bargain buys which is why I try and limit my trips to Primark. On many an occasion I have entered and left with a billion things I never knew I needed and that is exactly what happened when I took a 10 minute trip to the store during my lunch break last week. I thought I’d have a quick browse to pass the time, with no intention of buying anything but Primark seems to have a hold over me, I can never leave empty handed!
Although I moan, I was actually quite pleased with my purchases and thought they deserve to be shared.
Here are the things I bought –
I’ve sorta been obsessed with these “view from the top” shots recently. There’s something about these type of images where all the focus is on your shoes and accessories that I love…..I think it’s because I can go out without a full face of make-up but still get some good shots to put up on Instagram! That’s deception at its best!
It’s also just a really cool alternative way to showcase what you’re wearing rather than the standard mirror selfie.
I love that it makes me look taller than I actually am which is always a plus!
